Research editor, Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse. Masters of Library and Information Science in remote program by the University of South Carolina (through University of Maine System), 2004

Experience

For many years in the late 90s and early 00s, I was an adjunct instructor in the paralegal program at a local private college (that is now part of Kaplan University). I also was responsible for the legal training of social workers who had been hired by child protective services, and wrote training materials for the social workers. I have presented at several professional continuing-education programs. I was an appellate attorney for my state's attorney general's office for nine years. I wrote dozens of briefs during that time and edited hundreds of others written by other attorneys who wrote briefs under contract with the office. In my present job, I am the final reviewer/proofreader of published opinions for an appellate court. I review and comment on everything from grammar and punctuation to organization of the opinions. I have also written and narrated training slideshows and have written two major office manuals from scratch, and have edited many other documents and training materials, including websites and intranet sites.
